Psychic Addiction is where people seek out psychic advice and call often. Clients with this addiction will also call multiple psychics to get a consensus (or agreement) to affirm what previous psychics have told them.
Most cases, a client with Psychic Addiction is afraid to make choices from themselves or need someone to talk to. It could be a sensitive situation such as cheating on a friend, but their friend is who they go to when they have trouble. In that instance, they cannot confide in their friend if that could hurt their friend. Sometimes they see it best to reach out to a 3rd Party with no emotional attachment to the situation.
But I believe that most cases of psychic addiction are actually obsessive-compulsive disorder and should not be treated as an addiction. The way to see this is to see if the client is asking about the same thing over and over again during multiple sessions.
Encourage meditation in your clients if you feel they are addicted. Self reflection is the best way to overcome it and no 10 step program can aid them.
Psychic addiction usually happens when something outstanding happens or is brought to the person through psychic or spiritual help. For many people who dont do alot of psychic stuff something great found straight away is something that should be sought after daily. Its ok for people to feel this way as i know for quite some time all i wanted to do was live a spiritual or metaphysical life when such ddors were open. Some of it stems from psychic help being the last resort.....with good help found...where else to return to?To teach balance and show patience and clarity in the precense of such a person is a good rule.Teach them about balance beytween physical and spiritual nature. One must remember, they are just as drawn here as we are,and sometimes it is the pull that cant keep them away. When hope is found in the place of last resort, that be the depth of an addiction to psychic natured help.THe other is what can be on hand at home,Tarot, wedgy boards (dangerous),runes, symbols, emblems, all have the potential to,but becauce on hand can very addictive and agian i cant really blame them.
AS we are all individuals each person whom is addicted to psychic or spiritual work has their won individual sense of addiction, for some it will be the energy felt say off a healer,or cards or any of the above iv mentioned.....for others it could be talking to a passed loved one, another could be wanting the know the future, many different ways one could fall into a want or desire to psychic workings. In my opinion should be treated on a individual level, learning what they are drawn to...teaching them to balance it out, sounds simple.......but know much time and patience is needed in helping these people.

Its when people seek out psychics more than necessary. They are uncomfortable making any type of life decision large or small without consulting a psychic. Sadly they dont always get a psychic , they get someone who pretends to be one , and they fuel the fire instead of helping them learn to help themselves. The real psychic will tell them to wait for a period of time before another read on a certain question but they dont like to do that . They call again the next day or the same week . Or they call another psychic with the same question for the same reason. Some have up to 3 different psychics they do this with . It is not the same as asking a 2nd psychic the same question to get a second opinion, which is very normal. Sometimes they will call 5 times a day for the same thing . I get this alot . I know when they call they just called someone else, and yup you guessed it probably 5 times also. Each soul with this addiction is different and their motives are different , so I handle each one differently. I try to put them on the right path and get them away from the addiction without taking advantage , but I have never been able to accomplish it . If you dont fuel the fire they will eventually stop calling. But they are calling someone else. Does that help answer your question?
